Maternity photography is, by its nature, a very personal thing and so the most important thing about what you wear to your session is that you love it, and it feels comfortable and right for your style.

However, if you’d like some ideas about some outfit choices that you might like to consider, then take a look at this little list below…

• Crop tops – if you’re planning on getting some bare bump shots but don’t want to gt down to your underwear, then crop tops can be a real no fuss way to achieve this.  They pair perfectly with jeans, leggings or skirts so you can create a look to suit you.
• Form Fitting Dresses – if you’re bringing along dresses from home, I’d definitely recommend something that clings to your shape so we can really show off your bump!
• Body Suits – these are more recent addition to maternity photo shoot but essentially, they look like leotards or swimsuits and they’re a great to show your shape but keep covered.  They’re available in all styles from plain black and nude to full glamour crystal studded affairs!
• Boyfriend jeans and shirts – you can leave the jeans unbuttoned below your bump and drape the shirt for a comfy, casual but stylish look
• Bandeau top and skirt – this is a kind of understated glamour outfit which I’d definitely recommend if it fits with your style
• Lace / Sheer outfits – quite a few of my maternity dresses that I have for you to borrow during your session are in this area.  They look equally great with the delicate fabric against your skin or shooting through them to show off your shape.
• Long flowing gowns – again, I have maternity dresses available for you to borrow  that fit the bill here, but a long flowing dress can really add some drama to your finished image gallery.
