Copyright Policy

Under UK law (the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988), the photographer owns the copyright in any photo they take. That means copyright in your session images belongs to me, Sarah Fisher Photography, even after you’ve paid for and received your prints or digital files.

Paying for a session or product covers my time and the images or files agreed as part of your package. It doesn’t transfer copyright to you. Copying, reproducing or sharing images beyond what your licence allows (including downloading images from this website or my client galleries) isn’t permitted without my permission.

What you can do with your images

If you’ve booked a private, personal session, you’re licensed to use your images for personal purposes, such as printing, sharing with family, and posting on your own social media. Full details of what’s included are set out in your booking confirmation and our Terms & Conditions.

What I do with your images

I love sharing my work, so I typically use a selection of session images for my own promotion and marketing, including my website, social media and printed materials. This is reflected in my pricing. If you’d prefer I didn’t use your images this way, please let me know in writing before your session, as this may affect the price quoted, since my packages are structured around being able to show prospective clients the kind of work I do.
