I know that booking a photoshoot can come with a lot of questions – from what to bring, to when to book, and even what happens if your little one doesn’t want to play along on the day.
To make things easier, I’ve put together a series of Pocket Guides: simple, straightforward answers to the most common questions I’m asked about different sessions.
What Are the Pocket Guides?
They’re bite-sized pages on my website, designed to give you all the practical details in one place. No long scrolling or overwhelming detail — just the key things you want to know before you book or visit the studio.
What You’ll Find Inside
So far, I’ve created four Pocket Guides:
Newborn Photography Guide — covering safety, what to bring, and how I keep your baby comfortable.
Maternity Photography Guide — from the best time to book, to what to wear for your session.
First Birthday Photography Guide — everything you need to know about cake smashes and milestone shoots.
Portrait Photography Guide — for families, couples, and children, with tips on outfits, group sizes, and including pets.
Each one also includes a quick-reference table at the end, so you can check session length, group size, and what’s included at a glance.
Why I Created Them
My goal is always to make your photography experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. These guides mean you’ll have answers before you even need to ask — leaving more time for the fun part, creating your photos.
I’ll keep adding to the guides over time, but for now, the big four are ready and waiting. I hope you find them useful – and of course, if you still have questions that aren’t covered, just get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
