There are a great range of cakes at the supermarket so you can grab one right off the shelf. I’ve hand picked these to be gender neutral and I’ve had them all in the studio so I know they smash really well. Of course there are lots of others you can choose from when you’re in store to suit your theme. There are a few rules to know when you’re deciding
- You don’t need a massive cake so don’t worry about getting the biggest one
- Don’t choose chocolate cake because it looks like poo 🙂
- Go for buttercream style icing rather than the solid fondant icing, it’s easier to get into
- Don’t keep them in the fridge before you come as they’ll be too solid to smush
