Every Christmas I see families grow in front of my camera. A missing tooth, longer legs, a baby who’s now a child who’s now almost a teenager. It happens gradually and then all at once.

This family have been coming to my Christmas events since the very beginning. Two small boys in matching greys, a little uncertain of the camera. Now here they are, older and much more comfortable in front of the lens, in the loud pyjamas that have become something of a tradition.

Christmas portraits become markers of time without you really trying. They show how siblings settle into each other, how personalities develop, how the whole shape of a family quietly shifts year on year.

This will be their last Christmas session, the kids have officially outgrown it, but I love that these photographs exist. A little timeline of who they were at each stage. And that’s exactly why I think Christmas sessions aren’t just for little ones. However your family looks right now, that version is worth having on record. Because one day it’ll look different again.

Mini Event Photo Shoots in East Grinstead

I run a series of special events throughout the year, from seasonal mini sessions to themed shoots for all ages. Each event has its own booking calendar, and dates are released to the VIP list for that event first before opening to everyone else.

If there’s an event you’re interested in, it’s worth signing up to the VIP list so you don’t miss out when bookings go live.
