Christmas sessions have a funny way of showing you time in fast-forward. One year it’s tiny hands, baby curls and sleepy smiles… and before you know it you’re photographing confident little people with their own sense of style, humour and sparkle.
These “then and now” Christmas portraits are some of my favourites. Not because they’re dramatic or emotional, but because they quietly show growth, connection and continuity. The same studio. The same festive magic. Very different chapters of the same story.
Christmas photo sessions aren’t just about this year’s card or gift (though they’re perfect for that too). They become markers – little timestamps you look back on and think oh goodness, look how small they were.
