Baby Photography West Sussex

When it comes to your first Joey Club session, you can come in when your baby gets to four months old. However, there are a couple of good reasons for waiting just a little bit longer.

It can be tempting to book into the studio right at the four month mark to get some updated photos of your little one as they’re growing and changing so fast.  The newborn photos that you have will be almost unrecognisable when you look at them just 16 weeks later!  However, there is an argument for waiting just a little bit longer to book in for your first session.

All babies are different of course and develop at varying rates – I’ve even have some four month olds that have been able to sit unsupported! Most, however, will still be pretty flopsy when it comes to sitting up by themselves and may not yet be able to lift their heads very well when they’re on their tummy. I’d definitely recommend waiting in that case, you’ll get a lot more variety in your image gallery if we can include at least some tummy time images.

The other advantage of waiting just a little bit longer is that they’re more likely to have discovered their feet which can lead to adorable little toe grab images just like this one!

Obviously, you can come to the studio whenever is right for you but that little bit of extra time – it can be as short as 3-4 weeks – is just likely to give them a bit more strength and stamina so we can create the perfect image gallery together.
