Maternity sessions don’t have to follow one particular style. There’s plenty of time in the studio to mix and match, so if you want a combination of looks across a session, that’s completely fine.

A pregnant woman in a black dress is looking down towards her bump against a black background at a professional maternity photo shoot

This client brought her own outfits along and borrowed a couple of the studio maternity dresses to add some variety. The long black dress is one of the most requested in the collection. It’s floor-length and very flowing, which you can’t quite tell from this shot, and it works well because it shows off a bump without requiring anyone to bare any skin. A good option if that’s not something you’re comfortable with, or just because it photographs really well.

Want to Look at the Maternity Dress Range?

I have a collection of maternity dresses available to borrow during your session, with a range of styles from soft and simple to something with a bit more impact. You’ll make your selections on your options form the day before your visit, and they’ll be waiting for you when you arrive.
