My rose swing digital backdrop is one of the most popular ones to be requested at a newborn photo shoot – and it’s easy to see why.
It’s super pretty and perfect for little girls and Lola was no exception. Although she was three weeks old at her session which is a bit older than I’d normally recommend for newborn photography, she was born a few weeks early so actually she was still extremely sleepy and happy to doze while I gently moved and posed her. When babies are premature, we can get a little longer before they get too wakeful to visit the studio for their newborn photos – conversely, if they are late, we get a little less time before they become to alert for me to move them while they’re sleeping.
When you’ve booked a newborn session with me, you’ll get the chance to choose a digital backdrop to include in your session if you’d like to. They won’t ever be the main part of my work but they can be a fun way to add some different images into your newborn photography gallery.

Newborn Photography in East Grinstead
Newborn photo shoots are best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old—this is when they’re at their sleepiest and curliest, perfect for capturing those beautifully serene images. To ensure you don’t miss out, I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant—we’ll set a provisional date for a week after your due date and adjust if needed once your baby arrives.
Your session takes place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down, designed for your baby’s comfort. The shoot is relaxed, unrushed, and includes three digital images of your choice, all for £95. There’s no sales session—just a private online gallery where you can view and select your favourites at your own pace.
