When you book your newborn shoot with me, you’ll have the choice of either a traditional or natural newborn session in terms of style.
The natural newborn sessions are designed to create pictures that have a more lifestyle feel to them with most of the work taking place on my bed set up. It is also designed to require less intervention from me as a photographer which is kind of hard to explain without making it sound like I just plonk them on the bed and shoot what we get. That’s obviously not the case – they’ll still be gently moved and professionally posed but I guess the biggest difference is that they won’t ever be naked. I recommend bringing them in a plain sleepsuit with a vest underneath and we will mostly work with that to create a set of classic newborn images.
Outside of this, we will quite often work with them swaddled as they stay super cosy and sleepy like this – as well as looking adorable. I can match my swaddles to pretty much any colour scheme and of course, you can still choose to include anything you like from my extensive range of hats and headbands. Just because we’re keeping things on the more natural side, it doesn’t mean that we have to avoid all accessories! Just love this little elf hat and matching swaddle combo!
