Meet Churro the fluffy corgi and prepare to fall in love – I am totally head of heels with him that’s for sure. Dog photography is packed with moments like this and that’s why I love it.

He came to visit the studio having just joined his new family a few days before to celebrate and commemorate the occasion with some official photos.  It was also a big birthday for his fur mama so it was all kinds of special occasion rolled up into one great fun session.   Despite being only 12 weeks old, he was pretty chilled out and as long as he had a pawrent near him, happy to pose.  His classic good looks just suited a classic setting so made use of my red chaise (I put down a pad and a matching blanket underneath him in case of accidents) and I love the resulting timeless image.  I know people say it all the time about children but as a parent of a few dogs in my life, I can say that the puppy days just fly by and however gorgeous they are when they’re all grown up, they will always be the most adorable things in their puppy years.  Worth capturing the moment – that’s for sure.

And in case you were wondering, he did still have the beautiful puppy smell – hey, I had to check!
