First birthdays are definitely worth celebrating – it’s the end of quite a year for you and your family and a cake smash and tub splash photo shoot are the perfect way to do this.

Little Darcie certainly looked very stylish at her first birthday photo shoot – all matching in pink and gold (apart from the tub splash part of the shoot where we just went bathtime traditional with ducks, ducks and more ducks).

So we started the session with some traditional portraits against my rustic wood backdrop and using some of my unique handmade props like the shabby chic footstool.  That way, we could show Darcie’s skill in standing plus her gorgeous little outfit in all it’s glory before things got sticky.  Then out came the cake. I’ve seen this cake a lot this year, it’s a pretty in pink ombre rose one but mum had customised it with gold sparkles to fit in with her colour scheme.  Then, after the smashing was all done, it was into the tub with bubbles and ducks to finish off.

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
