These are four brothers and sisters who came to visit the studio to create a surprise birthday present for their dad – a very special family portrait photograph.

As they’ve never been in a studio before (well, not since they were tiny tots) they were a little nervous to begin with. That’s quite normal as it can feel a bit daunting to be in a photographic studio with a stranger taking your picture but after a few minutes, they were posing like pros.   You don’t need to have experience in the studio to create great images.  I’ll guide you through everything you need to do to get the perfect pose or family group.   When we’re dealing with family groups, how it works is that we get everyone roughly into position and then we’ll ‘fine tune’ the pose so you’re never left wondering what to do with your hands, or where to look.  It’s really quite painless to be honest – you’ve already done the hard part in scheduling a time to get everyone in one place at the same time!

A family portrait session in the studio already includes your five favourite digital images built right into the session price so you don’t have to worry about budgeting for images at high prices.  Of course you’re welcome to order more if you’d like to but you do this directly from your online gallery – there’s no sales meeting to attend with the fear of high pressure sales techniques designed to get you to part with your hard earned cash (do you know that a lot of photographers offer finance agreements now?  Crazy right?)

Family Photography

A family photo shoot in my warm and welcoming studio in Crawley Down is suitable for groups of up to two adults and three children (please call me to discuss before booking if your group is larger than this).  The session fee includes three digital images and costs £95.   As with all of my photography, there’s no sales or viewing meeting to attend – you simply view and order what you would like from your private online gallery. Here’s a link to my digital and print pricing.
