This family were dressed up in the most gorgeous bright and beautiful shades for their recent family portrait session in the studio.
When it comes to what to wear in the studio, there are really no hard and fast rules apart from you should definitely choose clothes that you love and that make you feel your best. That will always shine through in your photos.
However, if you’re looking for a few more guidelines…
- Patterns don’t normally work as well as plains
- Logos can date a picture in some cases so even if your child loves Peppa Pig, it might be worth trying to steer them away from it for at least some of the photos
- I usually recommend wearing something that you can sit, stand and move comfortably in without worrying if you are showing something that you don’t mean to. We’re going to be moving around at least to some degree during your session so it’s worth taking away the worry-factor…
- If you’re being photographed with other people, it’s a great idea to coordinate to some degree. So in this case, the family opted for all jewel tones but you could go for anything you like, shades of blue, denim and white, dark shades, whatever takes your fancy
