Some family members have more than two legs and they’re always welcome to join the rest of the gang for a photo shoot.
If you’d like to bring along your fur baby to your portrait session, that’s totally fine with me. I will insist on petting them a bit while they’re there but hey, it’s a small price to pay for getting the whole family together in one great image. How we set up the photo depends a little on the size of the dog but when the dog is a little bit bigger, we usually have them sit to join in the photo. I recommend that you leave their collar on because at the last minute before I press the shutter, I’m going to squeak to get their attention (I use a squeaky toy out of sight, I don’t actually squeak with my mouth) and a sneaky hand holding their collar from the back means that you get a great look at the camera and not a dog just rushing over to see what’s going on!
