People do sometimes ask me if they can bring their dog along to a family photo shoot and my answer is always along the lines of, hell yeah!
Dogs are family too and also dogs are awesome and they’re always welcome in the studio as long as I’m allowed to have a sneaky cuddle with them while we’re not taking pictures. Seriously, I recognise that our fur babies are part of our lives and deserve to be captured in the studio with the rest of the family. Where your dog will be posing with adults in the image then pretty much any age group is fine. Where you’d like them to pose alone with your little one then I usually find it’s best to wait until your (non-fur) baby is able to sit by themselves before we give this a go – otherwise it can become difficult to focus on getting them both posed while making sure your little on is safe and supported. When it comes to newborn photo shoots, I’ve done plenty that have included dogs so if you want to bring them along then that’s fine with me.
Don’t forget the treats – while I don’t normally recommend food bribes for kids in the studio, dogs have a much higher success rate if they know something tasty is coming for them at the end of it.
Family Photography
A family photo shoot in my warm and welcoming studio in Crawley Down is suitable for groups of up to two adults and three children (please call me to discuss before booking if your group is larger than this). The session fee includes three digital images and costs £95. As with all of my photography, there’s no sales or viewing meeting to attend – you simply view and order what you would like from your private online gallery. Here’s a link to my digital and print pricing.
