Dog photography, much like baby photography, is always an adventure. Dogs don’t care what you’re trying to achieve and getting them to cooperate is part of the fun as far as I’m concerned.
Ozzy here was a lively guy who had very little interest in sitting still as it was way more fun to run around and explore – can’t say I blame him but it did make for a challenging session. However, a little patience and a fair amount of dog treats combined with my ability to work super fast meant that we did manage to capture him against different backgrounds. This classic fine art canvas is one of my favourites for dog photography (I have it in a blue-grey also which I use for dogs with cooler fur tones). I love how it provides a neutral but complementary backdrop – it really showcases them without distracting.
