I’ve recently added to my nautical tub splash accessory set with the mini fishing net and Welcome Aboard Lifebuoy so I was excited to be able to put it into action when it was requested at a recent first birthday photo shoot.
Once we’ve finished smashing up the cake, then we hop in the tub for a good old splash around and clean up. You have a choice of tubs and of accessories if you’d like to include them in your session. In all honesty, babies are usually a lot more confident in the tub than they are with the cake. I guess it’s a lot more familiar and there’s something very relaxing about having your very own tub full of warm water and bubbles to have a good old splash in. There’s times to do both the cake smash and tub splash in a first birthday photo shoot so you can get two great sets of photos and also take home a less sticky baby!
