Introducing a brand new digital backdrop for newborns that I’ve just added to my collection – I’ve named it ‘to the Moon’ and I have to say, I think it’s going to be really popular with those folk who like a little bit of fantasy mixed in with their newborn photography.
It’s actually only the second ‘fantasy’ element I’ve added in to my newborn photography service as the rest of my digital backdrops are simply gorgeous props and set ups that I don’t have space to actually own in real life. They all could exist in the studio (and they would in a perfect world) and the digital backdrop element is simply a convenient way of adding them in. The other one is a hot air balloon set up that would be really hard to create in the studio for obvious reasons!
I really enjoyed creating this composite though, it’s extremely cute and I can really picture it on a nursery wall! When you’ve booked for a newborn photo shoot, you’ll get the chance to choose from my digital backdrop range before you come to visit if you’d like include one – not everybody does, and of course that’s fine too. It’s all about being flexible to create exactly the images that you want to treasure!
Newborn Photography
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
