Baby Photos – Crawley Down

Babies are notoriously unpredictable and if you’ve ever met one, let alone had one of your own, then you’re already going to know that!

So, as they can’t actually tell us whether something is bothering them or that they’re just flat out not in the mood for a photo shoot, we have to work with them as they are and use as many tricks and techniques as we can to get the results that we want.  I shoot fast and we move quickly through our session plan as obviously they naturally have a pretty short attention span for the photo process.  Harry is a good example of this, he wasn’t in the best of moods when he arrived for whatever reason.  However, there was a certain novelty factor about being with me in the studio so we capitalised on this, producing a massive amount of images in the first ten minutes of the session when he abruptly decided that I wasn’t fun any more.  Cuddling and feeding weren’t improving his mood and so we could simply called it a ‘wrap’ confident that we already had lots of pictures to choose from!
