You don’t have to bring anything along to your session, but it’s always a nice idea if you have something meaningful. Items from home make your photos feel personal to you, and they become a little memory of that time in themselves.

Knitted items, special blankets and toys are always popular choices. They look lovely in the finished images and they carry a memory of what mattered to your little one in those early days. One idea that works really well is to bring the same item to all three of your Baby Club sessions, and to your newborn shoot if you have one. It’s a lovely visual record of how your baby grew and changed over the first year. It also makes a great choice for your Baby Club frame, because having that consistent item across all three photos really ties everything together.

Ideas that other families have brought along include sports team colours, sporting equipment, favourite or first toys, personalised toys or blankets, and bits of decor from the nursery. Anything that feels like you.

Newborn Photography in East Grinstead

Newborn photo shoots are best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old. This is when they’re at their sleepiest and curliest, perfect for capturing those beautifully calm and natural images. I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant so we can set a provisional date and adjust once your baby arrives.

Your session takes place in my warm, cosy studio in Crawley Down, designed with your baby’s comfort in mind. Sessions are relaxed and unrushed, and include three digital images of your choice for £95. There’s no sales session, just a private online gallery where you can view and choose your favourites in your own time.
