A Smiling Princess

Following on from yesterday’s post about the trend for keeping it simple, there’s a very practical reason why it’s definitely a trend I’ll be embracing!

This beautiful smiling princess is gorgeous and it’s a simple image that captures her at her natural finest.  As well as having a very lovely smile, she also has a very fast pair of legs and definite ideas about where she would like to take them.  When toddlers are super mobile, keeping it simple is kind of a necessity.  Chairs and footstools are swapped often in a fast paced session in order to provide an inducement to explore a new item and stay somewhat close to stationery for just a minute so I can get the shot.  Throwing a heavily designed prop or set of accessories in the mix can sometimes lead to more chaos!  So keeping it simple, keeping it quick, interesting and fun is kind of a perpetual mantra when you’re working with very tiny people.
