First birthdays are always good fun in the studio, but there’s something about the tub splash that brings out the best in babies.
This little guy was absolutely focused during the cake smash- very serious, very purposeful, not much messing about. And then we put him in the tub and he completely transformed.
His parents had chosen the milk bath option, which is always a lovely alternative to a straight water splash. It gives the whole thing a softer, dreamier look, and it photographs really well against the blue enamel accessories. They’d gone for a navy and white palette throughout, which suited him perfectly.
The tub splash works on a simple formula. Warm water, bring your own milk, and wait for the smile. It never takes long.
He was a delight from start to finish – one of those babies who clearly finds the whole world very entertaining. That grin says everything.
