A cream bed photography set at my west sussex studio

If you’ve chosen a lifestyle-style newborn session, there’s now an extra detail you can personalise to suit your taste—the bed!

I’ve always used my white bed setup for these beautifully relaxed portraits, but I’m now offering a second option: a vintage-inspired cream bed with ornate detail and a softer tone. Both are styled simply so that the focus stays firmly on your baby, but they each offer a slightly different feel depending on your preferences.

The white bed is clean, modern and bright—perfect for classic, airy images.
The cream bed brings a little vintage romance and a touch of timeless charm.

You can now choose your favourite on your options form before your session. Whichever you go for, it’s designed to feel calm, cosy, and all about your new arrival.

Want to find out more about the difference between traditional and lifestyle newborn photography?

I offer two main styles of photography when you book for a newborn photo shoot at my studio and there are some differences between the two.  You’ll be able to choose between them before you come to visit so check out my comprehensive article and see which one suits you best!

Newborn Photography in East Grinstead

Newborn photo shoots are best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old—this is when they’re at their sleepiest and curliest, perfect for capturing those beautifully serene images. To ensure you don’t miss out, I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant—we’ll set a provisional date for a week after your due date and adjust if needed once your baby arrives.

Your session takes place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down, designed for your baby’s comfort. The shoot is relaxed, unrushed, and includes three digital images of your choice, all for £95. There’s no sales session—just a private online gallery where you can view and select your favourites at your own pace.
