One question that I get asked a lot about Baby Photography Club sessions is if there is time for outfit changes.

The answer is definitely yes, and I’d encourage you to bring along a change of outfits if you’d like to. I’m happy to photograph your baby in as many outfits as you’d like but the sticking point is usually how many outfit changes that they’re prepared to tolerate! So there are a couple of ideas to think about to maximise your studio time but minimise the hassle…

• Arrive in one outfit already on. If you’re worried that your baby will throw up on it in the car I get but you could try covering them with a blanket so they still look pristine if the worst happens.
• Think about layering outfits – so if you’ve got a vest or bodysuit you’d like them photographed in, can they wear it underneath another outfit so we only need to remove a layer rather than change them.
• Don’t worry too much about tights and socks unless you really love them. Bare legs are cute and it’s one less thing to wriggle them into.
• I have a range of outfits that you can borrow for your session from pettiskirts and rompers to full on animal costumes. You’ll be able to let me know about those when you submit the options form before you come to the session so I’ll have them waiting for you.
• Prioritise your favourite outfits first, so that way if they run out of patience, we’ll still have your first choice in the bag.
