Working with newborns and young siblings can be a little difficult because they are too small to offer safe support to your new arrival but of course you want to capture them both together.
This picture shows one way of getting the job done – I have a number of props that this works with including a miniature bed and the cutest little trolley. This way everyone stays safe and you still get a great image. I should say though that there is always a parent just out of shot to make sure that everything goes as it should. It’s also a good option for older siblings who may be able to technically hold their brother or sister but perhaps not in a way where you’re going to be able to pose them.
