Kayleigh and Kieran’s wedding started with preparations with the bridal party at an East Grinstead hotel and then we moved on to East Court for the ceremony and reception. It was a fairly small wedding and one filled with personal touches from the bride and groom to their guests – including the pitchers of cocktails for their guests to select from after the ceremony to the games they could enjoy on the tables at the wedding breakfast.
After the ceremony, the guests sipped their cocktails on the terrace and we took care of the group photography on the steps at the back of the building which were thankfully in the shade. Whilst sunshine is lovely to enjoy, it doesn’t make for the best photos plus it can get very warm for your guests – especially the fellas in suits. It’s much nicer to have photos in the shade were everyone can relax and stay cool and leave the sunshine for the guests to enjoy the rest of the time. Then I took a little walk with the bride and groom to the adjoining gardens for some romantic portraits as well as some with the extremely cool blue Triumph that was their wedding car, before finishing up in the reception room to ‘fake the cake’ cutting. It was great to see the bride view her reception room for the first time as the groom had been keeping it from her all day – just one more lovely surprise in a day already filled with love and happiness.
