I love my props at the studio to be unique and I’ve had my little heart set on some vintage shutters for ages as they’d look good in so many set ups.
I looked at getting them before and all of the ones I loved were from salvage yards and out of my price range. Plus there would be the added problem that they may well have sharp bits and pieces that would kind of ruin the look if I removed and obviously everything in the studio has to be child friendly. And photographer friendly – I can be a bit clumsy! So these were a compromised – louvre doors that I put together and painted. Was so proud of the fact that I thought to make one side dark and one side light so that I get double the prop in the same amount of space – means I have more space to fill up with even more pretty things!
They can be customised to suit all sorts of occasions with various hanging props, bunting and other styling so they’re going to be pretty versatile. Can’t wait to start using them!
