I’m always up for a theme and a bit of an adventure so when this family said that they wanted a Viking theme included in their newborn shoot, I was thrilled.

We started then and the theme has grown over the year to culminate in the finale of a Viking themed cake smash!  By this time, his dad had built a thrown and got hold of an axe and I had made personalised Runic bunting and a fur collared cape – we really went all out!

This is the set up and I’ll post the finished series shortly – I never thought I’d do a Viking cake smash but then I’ve done lots of things in my work that would never have occurred to me before. That’s the best part about my job!
