Valentine’s Baby – Perfect in Red

Rosie, as her name would suggest, looks just perfect in red which was a good thing as we had a whole Valentine’s themed photo shoot planned for her second baby photography club session.

Her mum had brought along the beautiful red tutu dress and it was too good an opportunity not to pair with my Valentine’s Heart curtain against a striking black background. Just a note about that Valentine’s curtain – I do like it but let me tell you, it did not come already assembled as the eBay listing suggested.  Man alive, it was a pain in the butt knotting all those hearts on to the strings – just in case you’re tempted to order one, I feel it’s my duty to share!

It might seem a bit strange to photography a baby against a black background as I’d more commonly use it for older subjects but the colour combination of the red against the black and her gorgeous little outfit just meant that it worked really well.  Not mean and moody but full of colour and Valentine’s spirit.
