This family has brought everyone to every session. Mum, dad, the little girl, and both chihuahuas. No exceptions.

A newborn and two chihuahuasa family pose together for a portrait, mum, dad, daughter and two chihuahuas

The first image is from the newborn session, baby about a week old, fast asleep on the velvet chair, two very alert chihuahuas stationed in front looking like they had serious questions about the new arrival. The dark backdrop, the grey velvet chair, the two small dogs with enormous eyes, it’s quite a composition (took about ten attempts to achieve it but it was worth it).

Three years later, everyone came back. The baby is now a little girl in a blue dress. The chihuahuas are wearing tuxedos. The whole family coordinated in blue, which nobody told the dogs about but they pulled it off anyway.

The chihuahuas were, reportedly, more cooperative than average. Cheese was involved.

Dogs are always welcome at sessions, for the record. Especially ones with formal wear.
