These beautiful twin boys came to visit the studio for a newborn photo shoot and it was my pleasure to capture them both separately and together.
Newborn twin photo shoots can be challenging as you have two totally unpredictable subjects but by focusing on them both together and separately, we make the most of our time in the studio. Actually these guys were a little older than I’d recommend for a newborn photo shoot as they were seven weeks old but they did remain gloriously sleepy, mainly due to the fact that they were so keen to meet their parents, they’d made a very early entrance into the world.
When babies are early, and twins normally are a little bit, we get a little bit more time to capture them at their sleepy maximum. That said, it’s always worth booking while you are still pregnant as it’s pretty easy to get home from the hospital and for it to be too late to capture that newborn stage by the time you look up from the chaos of the newborn bubble. We simply book for your due plus seven days and then just adjust your session date when your babies arrive – whenever that might be!
Newborn Photography
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
