A few days ago I posted about how darker backdrops are more uncommon choice for baby photography but they can work really well.

To prove my point, here’s an action shot from the tub splash in question with the dark wood backdrop.  I love how it really provides a contrast for the scene.  Plus the ducks pop so much you can almost hear them quacking!

Of course, I have plenty of backdrops to choose from in all shades and colours but don’t be afraid to be bold if the mood takes you – it can look terrific in the finished images.
