Sometimes the right choice is your own clothes and a white backdrop. No elaborate set-up, no studio dresses, just a clean simple portrait with the bump as the focus.
This shot is a good example of how a pop of colour can do a lot of work in an otherwise simple image. Black dress, red sash, red flower. That’s it. The white background keeps everything else out of the way.
Sessions don’t have to follow one style from start to finish. Light and airy, dark and contrasty, minimal, dressed up, with props or without. There’s time to do more than one thing, and mixing a few different looks tends to give a more interesting gallery than sticking to just one approach throughout.
