The wooden hammock is one of those props that earns its place by being visually strong enough to need very little around it. Three peonies at the base, a pink wrap, and that’s about all it takes. The dark backdrop does the rest.
This session was a good example of how a relaxed baby opens up the session. We’d already worked through the beanbag and one other prop set-up, and she was still perfectly settled, so there was a real opportunity to make the most of it. The hammock came out, and it was worth it.
It’s also a prop that suits a softer, more feminine palette particularly well. The warm wood tone, the pink wrap, the pale flowers. It all sits together without needing much work.
