When I know twins are coming in, I feel a tiny bit nervous and more than a tiny bit excited in equal measure.
I’ve had a good number of twins in the studio over the years, but there’s always something a little daunting about getting two babies to agree to sleep and settle at the same time. It’s also one of the loveliest sessions you can do, and I never want to miss a single opportunity.
These two came in with their parents and I was well prepared with plenty of ideas. One that their parents had specifically requested was getting both of them into the nest together. I won’t pretend it was straightforward. The first two attempts didn’t go well. Each time I tried, one of them decided that an urgent feed was required. Third time was the charm. They settled in beautifully together and the dark tones have a real babes in the wood feel to them that I love.
We got lots of other shots of them together and separately, but this one is a favourite. Mission accomplished.
