Newborn Photography in Crawley Down

This little guy had his photo shoot delayed by lock down so he is actually a good few weeks outside the newborn photography window but, as luck would have it, he decided to favour us with a quick nap.

Luck was definitely on our side for this session as I managed to settle him in my giant wooden bowl enough that he dropped off to sleep and allowed me to create this cute little Peter Rabbit set up.  Who doesn’t love Peter Rabbit?  He’s one of the most popular visitors to my studio – his appeal sure is enduring given that he was actually created in 1902!  In fact, thinking about this inspired me to create a brand new little set of Peter Rabbit accessories to use in the baby photography club – details will be coming soon.

It’s actually really unusual for a little one of this age (he was about 8 weeks old) to drop off to sleep in the studio and more so to let me move and pose him so I like to think he was just doing us a favour and getting the pictures that his mum and dad really wanted.

Newborn Photography

A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots.  For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital.   We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.

My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session.  Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
