I’m aware that most of my blog of late has been about stuff I’ve been adding to the studio prop range – well there’s not a lot else that a girl can do in lockdown other than prop shop!
I’m always one to look for an upside and I will say that lockdown has given me the chance to really work on a lot of ideas that I’ve had in my head but never quite found the time to bring to life. This little teepee is definitely one that falls into this category. In fact, I’ve had the tent for a couple of years and I used in my Christmas photo shoots in 2019 I think but it didn’t quite work and needed a bit of customisation to make it suit a photographic setting. So I got it down from the studio loft to have a play and it kind of snowballed from there.
I liked it on it’s own but then I got to thinking about how it could be customised to suit different themes and the four prop sets above were born.
- Wild One
- Flower Child
- Time for Tea
- Princess
All of these can be added to the tent to create the perfect little mini set for small studio visitors from when they’re old enough to sit up by themselves. I have a feeling that they will love the novelty of the tent and they’ll look great in any of the settings. I’m sure I’ll be adding more themes as they occur to me as well!
