This little prop is something I saw online a while ago and just fell in love with it. So it’s always surprised me a bit that it’s not requested more often.
I do have a lot of choice when it comes to newborn props though so I guess some do naturally have to fall by the wayside in terms of standing out. I think one of the main problems with it is that, when you see it on it’s own without a baby in it, it really doesn’t look like much. I find that to be true of lots of the props that I think are lovely – it can be hard to imagine them in use sometimes.
Anyway, it’s super cute in action as you can see it here and we have a choice of posing positions when it comes to using it which is really important as not all babies are comfortable with everything and so I always work to do what they’re the most happy with. Therefore, I like my props to be as flexible as possible when it comes to how we use them. The same applies to how we style them and this little beauty looks great plain, with florals, with teddies, in fact with pretty much anything…
Just to be totally clear, there’s always a parent just out of shot who is nice and near to make sure that everything stays completely safe for your newborn at any time that they are off ground level!
Newborn Photography in East Grinstead
Newborn photo shoots are best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old—this is when they’re at their sleepiest and curliest, perfect for capturing those beautifully serene images. To ensure you don’t miss out, I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant—we’ll set a provisional date for a week after your due date and adjust if needed once your baby arrives.
Your session takes place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down, designed for your baby’s comfort. The shoot is relaxed, unrushed, and includes three digital images of your choice, all for £95. There’s no sales session—just a private online gallery where you can view and select your favourites at your own pace.
