This one has a distinctly painterly feel, and that was intentional. The orange gown, the floral crown, the dark textured backdrop. It’s reminiscent of Flaming June, the Frederic Leighton painting, and that was the inspiration the client came in with.
It’s a good example of what happens when someone arrives with a clear creative vision. The session becomes something more specific than a standard maternity shoot, and the results reflect that. If you have an artistic reference, a colour palette, or a mood board you’ve been building, bring it. It gives the session a direction that’s harder to achieve starting from scratch.
