Balloons everywhere at this jungle themed cake smash, and they worked really well as a backdrop for the whole session.
I’m not suggesting you need to arrive with a complex balloon arrangement – this was actually a bit of clever planning by the mum, who had the arrangement made for the birthday party and simply picked it up a couple of days early to get some use out of it in the photos too.
If you are thinking about bringing balloons to a session, they work best when they’re joined together with balloon tape rather than loose. Loose balloons tend to blow around a lot and become a very interesting prospect for your child to chase rather than anything you’re actually trying to do. Balloon tape holds everything in place as a backdrop, and it also means you can use regular air-filled balloons rather than helium, which saves both money and a trip to get them inflated.
