Handmade hair accessories, bag accessories and badges.
How long have you been trading?
Less than one year
Are you a single operator / owner or do you have staff?
I’m a single operator
How did you come up with your business name?
Dragonflies signify renewal, Lily of the Valley are my favourite flowers that are gifted on the 1st May. Both were a theme at our wedding.
What makes your business different?
Everything is handmade and designed by me, using the best quality materials I can find and tailored to suit your needs.
What’s your plan for the future?
I’m looking to put more energy and build partnerships with local retailers.
About Georgy
What did you do before starting your business?
I am still an HR manager as well as a business owner.
Why did you start your business?
I wanted to find an outlet for my creativity that I don’t find in my day job.
Tell us a bit about you and your family if that’s relevant?
We are a perfect three thought not through choice. My daughter is the product of a long IVF journey and it was during this time of endless waiting that I honed my crafting skills.
Who is your biggest influence / supporter?
My daughter.
If you could meet yourself aged 13, what advice would you give yourself?
Be exactly who you are without compromise.
What do you do to relax?
I run my business.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Both. Thankfully I don’t need much sleep.
What was the last film you watched or book you read?
I love fantasy and my last book was a Brent Weeks.
First thing you’d buy if you won £10 million on the lottery?
A campervan.
What are your words to live by?
You are stronger than you think.
