Recently a client asked me if I had a Hungry Caterpillar accessory set and I was ashamed to say that I didn’t. I mean, how embarrassing is that?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar has been a childhood favourite for generations, capturing little imaginations with its bright illustrations, simple storytelling, and fun, interactive design. First published in 1969, Eric Carle’s classic book has stood the test of time because it’s more than just a story—it’s a joyful learning experience that helps little ones explore colours, counting, and the magic of transformation. The theme of growth and change makes it especially perfect for baby photography, reflecting those incredible milestone moments as babies grow through their first year. Whether it’s the bold, playful colours or the sense of nostalgia for parents, a Hungry Caterpillar-themed photoshoot is a beautiful and meaningful way to celebrate this special stage in your little one’s journey.
So here I am pleased to rectify the situation with probably my most joyful accessory set to date – there’s bunting, bloomers and romper plus a couple more bits to add in when they arrive. I’m so lucky to have such a talented friend who made me the wonderful newborn caterpillar suit as well – it’s just a wonderful addition to the set and I can’t wait to try it out!
Phew, I can relax now knowing that giant injustice is resolved!
