Newborn Photography East Grinstead West Sussex

One of the most common questions that people ask me relating to newborn photo shoots is how we go about picking a date to book the session for when we don’t actually know when the baby will arrive.

Unless you have a C-section date booked, there’s no real way of knowing when your baby will actually arrive and with only about 5% of babies actually being born on their due date, we are at the mercy of nature taking its course.

However, the calendar get pretty busy and I do limit the amount of these sessions that I take on so it’s really important to book while you’re still pregnant to guarantee availability.  If you’ve already had your baby, then I’ll always do my best to make some space for you but it’s not possible on some occasions.

So in terms of booking, we make a calendar entry for your due date plus seven days (or ten days if you have a booked section date).  I’ll be in touch the week before that to check if your baby has arrived or whether we need to push the session back a bit and obviously you just let me know if they arrive early and we move the session forward.
