Henry is an awesome little dude. I think you could have got that from the picture but just in case, it seemed worth stating. He also brings along his guardsman buddy to his photo shoots so we can include him as well.
I will say that Henry is also an early mover and boy is he fast so this was one of those occasions that we had to take somewhat drastic action to keep him in one place for long enough to take his picture. And we also had to sneak the aforementioned guardsman buddy into the picture at the bottom by the footstool because there was no way that he was going to leave him alone without giving him a good dose of Henry loving. So that’s what we did. I don’t normally sit kids as young as that on the footstool but I was armed with a mother with quick reactions literally just on the edge of the frame. I was also armed with a squeaker to get his attention and a face that he found quite hilarious which is both worrying on a personal note and also useful in terms of getting the shot. I love the result and also the fact that we are building a very cute little sequence of him and his favourite toy over the course of the year that will be brilliant to look back on.
One other little point – his very clever grandma bought him a shirt that also features guardsmen. Love it when a theme comes together.
