This little guy is one year old – in case you couldn’t have guessed! His mum brought along the balloon to go with his cake smash but it was the perfect size to slide into a few of the tub splash images as well.
Balloons as props are an obvious choice as a party accessory which means that lots of folk also bring them along to their first birthday photo shoot. One of the most popular choices is to bring along the large foil ‘1’ balloons but they actually don’t really work as part of a photo shoot for two reasons…
- They are usually a lot taller than your one year old and so unless I zoom out quite a bit, you don’t see the whole thing in the finished image.
- They don’t very often face the camera so you can’t always see that they are a one, they just look like a stick
However, I love this text version of the ‘one’ balloon, it looked so fantastic as part of the backdrop for the cake smash that I couldn’t resist sliding it in for a few of the tub splash images as well.
