So it’s my Sarah Fisher Photography 5th birthday coming up in July and I think that’s something really worth celebrating. Less than half small businesses make it to their fifth anniversary so I’m pretty proud to have got so far.

Actually I’ve been a photographer and working for myself for nearly 20 years but when I started, it was under the brand name of Fisher Weddings and I only worked there at wedding photography.  For portrait photography, I worked under my husband’s brand of VisualChaos Studios before deciding to split out on my own.  In business terms.  I’m still with my husband!

Looking at what I’ve just written, I’m largely struck but a shocking lack of imagination when it comes to naming my businesses but there we go.

Anyway, to celebrate, I’m going to hold a special portrait day in aid of the NSPCC.  For a donation to my JustGiving page of £35, you can book a portrait mini photo shoot in the studio on July 14th and receive all of your images digitally at print quality.

You can’t book online just yet but it won’t be long so keep an eye on my website or facebook page to be the first to know and grab one of these sessions before they go.

You’ll also receive a goody bag which I have filled with things that I love as well as getting donations from a few very generous local businesses.  I’m not going to tell you exactly what’s going to be in there just now but trust me, it’s good!

There will only be 8 sessions available and you can use them for whatever you’d like with a couple of caveats.

  • My studio is ideal for groups of up to two adults and three children
  • These are mini shoots so they won’t be any good for newborn photography or cake smashes as we won’t have time to get through everything

So spoil yourself with a long overdue family portrait, get the kids in the studio, grab your mum and celebrate your relationship – whatever you want.  And know that you’re helping a great cause in the NSPCC at the same time.
