Getting Festive with Gonk Accessories

Over the years of building sets in the studio for all of my special events, I’ve amassed quite a collection of seasonal bits and pieces.

When I’m done with an event, very little gets thrown away.  With the notable exception of this snow covered Christmas tree that I bought one year because it was pretty and discovered that it shed more snow and glitter than it kept and drove me insane for weeks finding bits around the studio.  That aside, most of the other stuff gets crated up and goes into storage.  This means that I have a great stash of items whenever I start designing events in the following years or when, as in this case, I want to create a little festive accessory set that folk can include in their photo shoots when they visit in November and December.

I actually bought these gonks and baubles quite a few years ago when I had a kind of Scandi themed Christmas tree set up for one of my Christmas photo shoot events but gonks are definitely still in fashion so I dug them out of their box and had them on hand in the studio for generally festiving-up any of my other props.  In this case, they went perfectly with my vintage suitcase and this beautiful little model.
