As a mum, you’re often the one behind the camera. You’re the one documenting everything – first steps, birthdays, holidays – which means you can end up largely absent from the family photos despite being at the centre of family life.

That’s worth fixing.

Why it matters

Having photos that include you isn’t just for you — it’s for your children too. As they get older, they’ll want to see that you were there, part of it all. Being present in the photos is one of the most straightforward ways to show that.

There’s also a practical benefit to being in the session rather than just watching it. When mum’s involved, things tend to relax. Your children respond to you in a way they don’t respond to me, and that comes through in the images. Less stiff, more real.

How it works in practice

Family sessions at the studio are relaxed by design. Whether it’s you and your partner with the children, or just you and your little ones, I’ll guide everyone through it so nobody has to think too hard about what to do. Wear something you feel comfortable moving around in, bring yourselves, and leave the rest to me.
