When folk come in for Joey Club photo shoots, it’s really common for mums to ask to get some pictures of just them and their child.
Of course it’s not a problem but the reason behind the request is pretty interesting. If you look at the camera roll of a mum’s phone, you’re going to find loads of photos of their kid but the chances are that there will also be a fair amount of their partner and child. If you check the partner’s camera roll then it is less likely that you’ll find as many of mum and child. That’s a big generalisation I realise but it does prove to be true more often than not. Hence all those mums visiting the studio and being keen to even the score a bit!
Even if your partner is taking hundreds of pictures of you being a mum, then I’d always still recommend getting involved in a Joey Club or baby photo shoot – these are precious memories that you will treasure and your child and their children even will enjoy looking at when they’re all grown up.
Now I’m not saying that this is entirely the fault of the guys in our lives as quite often us girls are not so keen to get in front of the camera as we don’t always feel ‘ready’ for it but believe me, you’re perfect as you are. Enjoy capturing those memories and in fact insist upon it!
